Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the XdoList mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

XdoList is a privacy-focused task management application. The Service allows you to create, organize, and manage tasks, projects, areas, tags, reminders, and related personal productivity data. Core features operate entirely on your device using local storage. v0.1.0 does not upload your task data to servers we operate by default; optional sync is available only through (1) Apple iCloud on Apple platforms, (2) Supabase configured by you, and (3) a self-hosted backend you deploy and operate.

3. Your Data

3.1 Local Data

All task data you create is stored locally on your device by default. v0.1.0 does not upload, access, or process your local task data on servers we operate. The mobile app uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage events; it does not access your task content, and we do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID).

3.2 Optional Sync Channels

v0.1.0 supports three optional sync paths that do not involve servers we operate by default: Apple iCloud (subject to Apple's iCloud terms), your own Supabase project, or your self-hosted backend. Each channel is configured by you; we do not have access to data stored in your self-managed channel.

3.3 Data Backup

You may export backups of your data to locations you control, such as your device storage or cloud services. You are responsible for the security of any exported backup files.

3.4 Data Loss

You are responsible for maintaining adequate backups of your data. We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, uninstallation of the app, accidental deletion, or other causes beyond our reasonable control.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
• Distribute malware, viruses, or any harmful code.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, trademarks, logos, and content, is owned by XdoList and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service may include optional integrations with third-party services, such as analytics providers. Your use of such services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, XdoList shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Where the user is located in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, the mandatory consumer protection laws of that user's habitual residence shall apply in addition to the extent they cannot be derogated from by agreement.
